This magnetic survey was conducted on a south-east facing slope between the Parque Cruz Conde and the Guadalquivir River, near the Colegio Mayor Séneca in Córdoba. The survey aimed to identify potential archaeological remains associated with the pre-Roman settlement of Corduba, thereby improving our understanding of the city’s early development.
Despite the presence of modern debris deposits, the magnetic data revealed the location of several significant archaeological features within the surveyed area. A broad section of foundation was detected, which may have marked the line of a defensive wall. Outside this presumed wall, traces of a large building and a prehistoric street leading to a potential gateway were also identified.
