In summer of 2021, magnetic prospection was carried out at the Chalcolithic site of Tsiteli Gorebi 5 within the Georgian–Italian Lagodekhi Archaeological Project. The project was conducted in cooperation with Ca' Foscari University of Venice and the Lagodekhi Museum.
Approximately 4.5 hectares were surveyed using a five-sensor SENSYS gradiometer system with RTK-GPS positioning. The magnetic data revealed prehistoric ditches, internal boundaries, pit houses, storage pits, and fireplaces, indicating a well-organised settlement on slight elevations in the floodplain. Densely clustered anomalies suggest an overall settlement area of about 5 to 6 hectares, while flatter zones showed little evidence of occupation.
