The archaeological site of Marica is located in the south-western suburbs of Vinkovci on the southern bank of the Bosut River. Archaeological finds and the study of aerial photographs of the area suggest a complex prehistoric settlement. Magnetic surveys carried out 2018, 2023, and 2024 revealed a large enclosure defined by a double ditch more than 200 m in diameter, indicating a structured settlement. Concentrations of small anomalies in elevated areas suggest house structures, while magnetic dipole anomalies on the northern side point to collapsed kilns and a possible production zone.
